Why a new '21 Civic over Sentra, Corolla, Elantra, Mazda3, etc.?

Anything you'd go for if not Civic and why? Starting the process and trying to get a sense of choices. I'm in U.S. Thanks.

Nissan and Hyundai/Kia are not on the same level as Honda in terms of longevity. Nissan is just garbage now, and Hyundai has got better but I still don't think they're on the same level.

Mazda and Toyota have excellent cars, and I'd be okay driving them. If I had to pick one, it'd probably be a Corolla IM or something similar.

Mazda have the skyactive engines, which is great (I have a CX-5)
drove a loaner 3, it was even lower than my lowered 02 civic
should be similar or better car than the civic...
