Fixed a buncha shizzle...
This is the only forum I posted this in for once lol (boosted2k2)...
I TORE APART THE CIV for a longer duration than the turbo install itself lol...
-Re-did the oil feed line for the turbo (teflon tape)
-Replace vacuum line for the turbo-to-wastegate and re-routed the hose
-Replaced the oil return line and removed a very unneccessary "dead weight (Grey I know you want the lo-down on how to rid the 4 pound weight lol)
-Took off oil pan, ripped off old gasket and resealed entire pan
-Re-did the charge pipes
-cut part of the bracket the holds the battery, no more squeaks from the charge pipe rattling against it!
-wrapped rear sway bar (right part) with part of a mountain bike tube, no more rattling under heavy left turns...
-gutted the rear half of my cat for added airflow without triggering the CEL (sensor is between two seperate "packs" (I will be gutting the other half after I buy an o2 simulator
-New Mobile-1 Drive-Clean 5W-30 oil and oil filter
-Re-wired primary o2 sensor and sealed outer part of harness with silicone (no more shorts!).
All I can think of for now. End result:
Car is MUCH smoother. Everything engages quieter. No clanking noises. Smoother start. Turbo spools a lot faster and I'm making a lil over 4.5psi now instead of 4.2. A/F gauge works flawlessly now (occasional cutouts before.
Either way it's like driving a completely stock, powerful car now. I'm very satisfied with the end result and will be leaving everything the way it is until early spring.

Wow, nice.
And, ahem. Yes, I am insterested in the 4lb of dead weight you removed.
I think it's that brick that's near the rear engine mount, right? I saw that thing. I want to remove it from mine too. I'll see what it does and maybe write up a DIY on it.

I guess I can take a pic of it tomorrow. All that's attatched to it is this... a small "clip" that guides the wire for your o2 sensor. You can take the weight off (EX - not sure if LX/DX have the same) and keep the wire there or tie-rap it. It's VERY useless. It rests on top of part of the lower frame. Nothing leans on it. Only 2 bolts holding it on.
Yeah, but I can't imagine Honda designing a chunk of metal that big just to support the O2 sensor. It has to have SOME purpose otherwise it woudlent be there. Oh well...I guess you'll find out eventually.

(Post in all forums: Pionts = Popularity
) Just playin
Sounds good
That's the way it should be. My car runs stealth. Sometimes, it's hard to even tell if the engine is even running. The only thing I have to do, is lean out the idle a little and adjust my ig. timing, but other than that, pretty much perfection up to 7-8psi. But good to hear it's running good. I'm gonna try to get some vids of mine when I get a chance.
