I want to clear my headlights, but I'm not sure if it's illegal.. And I've already seen two 7th gens on the road with clear headlights so I guess they're not... Can someone clarify this for me?

it isn't legal, but you aren't likely to get pulled over for it.

TX state law says that the front turn signals must be clear to amber and the rear turn signals must be amber to red. So clear headlights are legal in Texas.

It should be fine, for extra protection I use a lil darker amber for the turn signals.

i think the only factor that even comes close to making it illegal is the fact that you don't have an orange reflector up front. but then again, it doesn't say anything about that in the handbook

but those cars also all have amber reflectors on the corners of their front bumpers.

ex: lexus RX300, mazda protege5, older honda cr-v

taken straight from the texas DPS

3. Turn signal lamp mounting. The lamps showing to the front shall be mounted on the same level and as widely spaced laterally as practicable and, when signalling, shall emit a white or amber light or any shade of light between white and amber.

basically, as long as you have white or amber turn signals, you should be fine. blue is questionable and you will run the risk of having to deal with the officer's discretion.
