So yesterday I was driving down Fry Rd. and a motorcycle cop was standing in the grass and caught me on Radar 50 in a 35. I have no problem with that....if I get caught I get caught, but then we I pull over this A-hole cop says "I am gonna have some fun with you". I'm like wtf!? Its 1:30pm clear as day and he says my turns are blue and my headlights (Nokya Arctic Whites) are blue and writes me 3 citations. He was a complete a$$.[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/IMG] I told him that my headlights (which were not even on being bright as hell outside) were DOT approved and he said "you know how many tickets I wrote for blue headlights?). I was like man F%$# this guy so I left and he told me its $125 a piece for the light citations. I feel I was profiled and plan on fighting it because how is he gonna write me a ticket when they were not even on![IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/IMG] Any advice is appreciated, and I plan on taking it to the man![IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-cool.gif[/IMG] Who's with me!?

I'm sure he was just picking on you. I've had it happen to me. Pulled over once for speeding (not on radar though..so no ticket), the officer mentioned that the bulbs over my rear plate could not be red. No biggie there, I told him I had the stock bulbs at home and he said "you might want to change them sometime". He wasn't rude to me at all. Also when I had my accident this summer, the officer giving me the ticket said that I needed to change the bulbs in the headlights. The bulbs (which i still have in) were all blue, like yours most likely. He told me that the bulb itself has to be clear or amber, and sure enough I looked it up and he is right (he's a cop after all). Both of this incidents were with Sugar Land police by the way. I've never been pulled over or harrassed just because of lights or anything like that, but they always add it onto a speeding ticket or such. Just seems to be that way. I guess its just luck whether or not the officer decides to warn or give you tickets, and you just happened to get unlucky. There isn't really anything wrong that he did. Oh and the accident incident occured durring the daytime, so my lights were not on then.

Hey Phill did you fight those tickets or you paid up? He gave me a citation for the turns and my headlights. Whats the deal with that? He couldn't tell the color the bulb emits just by looking at it.[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/IMG]

It doesn't matter what color light comes out of the bulb, if the bulb itself is a color other than amber or clear it is illegal. All I recived was a moving violation for my accident, I never got tickted for the bulbs, just a verbal warning.

OK. Let me pose this question. If I plead guilty to speeding, take def. driving and setup a court date to fight the other charges; what are the chances that this djck will show in court?

I think you may be able to bring the headlight violations to a "fix-it" ticket. You should replace your nokyas with silverstars or something else thats blue-tinted but DOT legal, and prove it. The turn signals, you're gonna have to beg a little for those.

Great minds think alike Dragoon! Actually one burnt out that same night so I just replaced them with Silverstars and they are tinted blue slightly and I saved the case that says 100% street legal so I can take it to court. I don't want to buy new turns but I may just swap them for the time being. And Dimsum, you S.O.B. I'm waiting to kill you before I head back to Mexico fool.

Damn that sucks Mex. I hate cops like that. I once got pulled over it was like 4 am and the cop pulled me over for no reason. He told me to get out the car and asked me if I had any drugs. I was like no and he said Ima search your car if I find some your going to jail so if you have some tell me and I want send you to jail. So I told him I had no drugs and he searched my car he didn't find nothing so he told me that he knew me and he knows what I do. I told him I don't know what your talking bout and he said Ima watch you and Ima stick to like white on rice. WTF is he talking bout. I ended up going to the court the next day and filing a report on his punk ***. I hate cops like that.

I wouldn't worry about it too much... I think dragoon is right... when you go to court just tell the judge exactly what the cop said about having fun with you, and that you didn't know the turns were illegal, and you are planning or already have changed back to the stock ones. OR you might get luckey... the cop might not show up, in that case the tickets should be dismissed! Good luck!

A guy I work with has a 96 Accord that has about $10,000 put into it. He told me he got pulled over and ticketed 4 times for no front plate, 5 times for Blue bulbs, and 7 times for clear tails and he never paid. He told me just to replace them and take a picture and take it to court. And to make sure that I have them that way when I goto court, in case they check. Thats definitely a relief for me, thanks for the help you guys & gals.
