Mobile, AL peeps? & question for those from TX
I've seen three or four other 2k1 civic coupes driving around Mobile (all girls like me) yet I haven't seen one on here. Am I missing something? Oh and to anyone from Texas, a friend and I are thinking of driving my civic to Galveston Beach for spring break. Any suggestions?

Well, it appears as though we won't be driving my civic. I don't want the salty air to kill my satin silver metallic paint so we're takin my mom's corolla.
Why TX and not Florida. Mobile is a hecka of a lot closer to alot of nicer beaches in Florida than Texas. Galveston $ucks, South Padre is the best in Texas, but doesn't even compare to Florida's beaches.

Our goal was to go to someplace inexpensive and not crowded where we've never been where there's no chance of seeing anyone we know. We really just want to get away from everything we're used to...like Florida. So why's Galveston so bad? It looks nice to me and we were almost ready to book our condo until everyone told me that Galveston sucks.
Yeah, if you're wanting a nice beach in Texas, go to Padre, North will do, but South is the best. Galveston sucks cause of all the oil rigs in the Gulf leave an insane amount of sludge in the water, and it all seems to wash up on shore there. South Padre is one of the few places I have been able to find blue eyed Hispanic females, which, in my opinion, are some of the most beautiful women in the world. (OK, kind of cheesy, but I live to go to South Padre!).

boohoo....we booked the condo @ Galveston yesterday. I don't think the oil will be a problem cause we get the same stuff here and I don't venture into the water anymore after a run in with an incredibly large portuguese man-of-war.
oh well, cruise down South of Galveston about 20 miles along the coast and check out Surfside. They have decent beaches, and you can cruise up and down the beach. It's probably the best area around the Galveston area.
Sweet I work at Trillion Digital. We provide the mobile county schools with high speed wireless internet. Getting ready for Mardi Gras? I didnt know they took it so seriously down there.

The only place that takes Mardi Gras more seriously than Mobile is New Orleans. I get a whole week of school off for it.
Strangely enough most people around here go skiing over the break and we leave the parades and stuff to the tourists.

Just keep a few thngs in mind: 1) don't EVER cross the barricades 2) if you see a whole box of moonpies or bag of beads flying at you, move out of the way! several people have been maimed by such things 3) don't get shot over a moonpie (it has happened before!)

Try Dauphin Street....the Splash in particular if you enjoy good music. Other than that, all we have down here is good food and drink. You could always drive to the beach or Dauphin Island. Oh and btw I was up in B'ham last weekend for the marathon.

I am indeed in west mobile and I believe I've seen you around quite a bit as well. Treadwell Honda rocks...I think my civic is the 9th car we've bought there since we moved to Mobile. My dad just traded his CRV in for a new Toyota Highlander.
