Spare wheel for 2018 Honda Civic Hatchback
Spare wheel for 2018 Honda Civic Hatchback
Hey everyone!
So I have a 2018 Honda Civic Hatchback 1.0 l VTec turbo 126 SR.
My regular wheels are 17": 235/45 R17 94W (17 x 8J).
In the manual, it states the spare tyre as 16"?:
T125/80 D16 97M (16 x 4T)
Honda charges £220 for a full wheel and tyre kit, which seems overpriced!
Looking on the Wheelshop and eBay instead, there's choices for £60-£100.
But I don't know whether to select the 16" or 17"?
They don't state the tyre codes. So I don't know if the 16" comes with a larger sidewall tyre (80% aspect ratio), or if the 17" comes with the standard 45% aspect ratio?
Interestingly, 45% of 235 mm comes to 105.75 mm.
+ 17" = 537.55 mm
Then 80% of 125 mm comes to 100 mm.
+16" = 506.4 mm
So the spare is overall smaller?
Any ideas?
Thanks everyone!
