Rep Power: 0 Loud clunk after parking on an incline
Hi there,
Ok - I've tried Googling this problem like crazy, but I can't find anyone who had the exact same scenario.
I parked on my driveway last night (it's pretty steep) driving up the incline.
There was some ice so I had to step on the pedal a bit, but no real big problems. I engaged the e-brake and turned my wheels to the left, parked, and got out of the car.
The moment I stepped out of the car, there was a huge CLUNK.
So my question (and please forgive me if I'm clueless), is this normal? Was it the e-brake? Did the ice play a factor?
Thanks so much everyone.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

It's normal.
Due to incline, putting a load against the park pawl.
