<< sorry guys and gals, i'm just finally getting in on this. i'm definately up for a nice drive. i'm in columbus, ohio. i'm worried though, i'm 23 and with all this talk of underagers am i going to be one of the old dogs there?
also, what are the plans, have there been any definite talks of what we would do to make this a multi-day event? >>No worries...I'm gonna be 22 by the time this event goes down...Not that I wanna go out and get hammered then go cruising...bad idea!!!
However...We will need to drink some brews over dogs and burgers at the BBQ...

As far as Hotels go, ill be able to look into when i get home from school on may 11th or so, because the meet is right by my house more or less, and i can stop by the hotel and get some rates maybe.....how many rooms you all thing we need????? .................anyone thats goin and needs a room, EMAIL me at dzine00@yahoo.com and ill put alist together, and i can email those involved back when i get info.....or anyone.....feel free to email me to ask any questions of the area or to suggest any ideas for activities.

ok..........man....finals blow.................. so ill put up an RSVP post soon so i can get a sence of how many peeps we'll have coming, so i can get hotel rates, and id liek to see if i could get some local shops to come to the event maybe, or a local radio station like B96 or Energy 92.7. but i wanna have some numbers and some fact to show them to pursuade them we are worth their time........so gimmie a week here, and i can put some effort into all this.

a group from my area are thing about goinh to HIN, and yes you can bring others that don't drive 7th gen out of my group of like 9 people i'm the only 7th gen, lots of VW's a bmw and 1 civic hatch

Rep Power: 0 Okay i realize this has been played for awhile, but why dont we have this during HIN. Dont you guys think it would make for a cooler weekend. Have a big meet on fri have a cook out and what not, have a cruise that night. Go to the show on sat and we can all meet on sat night then go home on sunday. Im not trying to rain on the parade but i just think it would make more sence to do it then. Hit me back and tell me what you guys think.
the reason you cant have it on friday before HIN, is because those of us who are in it, KNOW or should know, that your car sctually is set up and alll that in the early evening on friday....and those coming from far, would have to take off work etc..... thats why this is on a saturday

Rep Power: 0 I havent read "every" reply to this thread but i live outside Chicago, about 10 minutes west of O'hare airport, and being here all my life Ive learned quite a bit about "downtown" chicago. One of the nicest things about it is that no matter where you want to go in Illinois, all you have to do is jump on the right toll/express way and go for it. Downtown is great if you want to roll up and down congested (and currently under construction) roads, but theres a LOT of excellent places in the city itself and in the nearby suburbs for masses of vehicles to gather without paying for parking. (parking prices are outrageous downtown!!!) What it really depends on is how far some of the people that want to meet up are driving to the city in the first place and how far they might end up backtracking to hook up at some bbq or whatever happens to go down. Anyways i hope that helps any, i know its pretty much a general blurb that anyone could spit out but I do have some more specific info if anyone wants to know more.
