Best civic aftermarket exhaust

Do you guys know what is the best aftermarket exhaust for a 96-00 civic. Im looking at the yonaka catback or apexi exhaust. I heard the yonaka is a knockoff of apexi and that the yonaka gets louder over time is that true? What would you guys recommend me to get as an aftermarket exhaust. I’m looking for a quiet deep noise that doesnt sound rice. Any suggestions?

Well i did say nice deep sound that doesnt sound rice. But i would also want a good price, Id say like $700 or less would be good. Ion care much about performance more like sound and price. So Im guessing either yonaka or apexi would be a good shout

Re: Best civic aftermarket exhaust

The best one is the one that you like the sound of. It won’t add much for performance so just get what you like.

If the Yonaka uses a fiberglass fill yes they can break down and become louder over time.

A muffler shop could probably do a custom job with a universal Flowmaster or Borla for not too much.

Re: Best civic aftermarket exhaust

If you're staying NA, don't go larger than 2.5" piping. Hell, try to stay at or under 2.25" if you can help it. Had an A'PEXi world sport 2 on my 2002 Civic, and it sounded great. 2.36" (60mm) piping on that bad boy. I did, however, have a full header-back exhaust system, and I'm pretty sure only like.. 5 people on this forum has heard it in person, none of which are active anymore

Straight through mufflers (e.g. A'PEXi N1 or N1 style mufflers) are gonna be louder, and can end up being ricey, Chambered mufflers will have a bit more noise attenuation to them.
