Bad smell depending on what gas you use. I use 91 octane, and this thin canister (comes in a pack of 4 at Kragen's) of Outlaw Performance Booster, makes it smell clean, this guy next to me in an early model Camaro asked me if I was running racing fuel cause it smelled "sweeter" than reg gas and I said "nope". At first, you could smell it if you run your car hella hard with the windows down, I don't know if it went away or if I just got used to it. Also, it was kinda smokin too because I got my new exhaust a few days b4 putting on my header. IMO, higher octane gas + perf booster (prob every 3 weeks, that's when I use it) should be fine, but then again, that's just my opinion. It's more of a cover-up than anything else, but if a cop smells it, he must really be a pig to have a snout that big to smell it. If not, he'd have to get right behind your car and bend down to smell it.

I'm tired of hearing about how much horsepower and torque you think you get, HOW ABOUT AN ACTUAL DYNO that proves an increase from the header? please if anyone has a dyno of the kamikaze header or the HP please post it. thank you

yea, if ppl cud post where they got the hp racing headers, i cant really find any place except nopi or places that are fricken expensive. ive tried searching for it on ebay and cant find it.

one small question, duz anyone on this site have like...i dunno wut its called but itz like a small *** exhaust pipe. sorta like the stephan papadakis vic, has the exhaust coming out by the front tires? i think i read sumwhere that doing that wud help performance, like more than getting a aftermarket exhuast and headers, and it makes sense cuz exhaust fumes go out hella faster, but duz any company make this for our car? o yea, i dunno but it seems like it wud be LOUD as hell tho.

i got an 03 ex. read this whole thread. still not clear whether to go kamikaze or hp. what do u all suggest. from my understanding, the kamikaze gets rid of ur cat. and then hp is the prefered one for the ex cuz it has a hi flo cat. so.... i guess hp is the good one. but heres my question.... does the hi flo cat that the hp come with fit any catback exhuast system made specifically for ur stock cat?? im lookin to get the rsr catback. what u all think??

Best gain is to stay with the stock header, unless you have engine work done. When air moves from the small exhaust ports on the cylinder head to large ports on the header, the air velocity will slow down and cause a loss of performance. If you want something that looks nice instead of the stock one, get DC. It's the same as stock.

But if you do have a good setup, HP w/hi flow cat is probably the way to go. Just be sure emissions don't matter where you live.

yeah i was thinkin of getttin an nx wet kit, and one of the guys at the honda place told me to get sum headers and a catback BEFORE i go n2o. and so thats why im lookin for sum ok headers. yeah i sumwhat agree about the larger diameter reducing air velocity but do u think it will be better for the n2o to exit the car with less restriction. i mean if i have a full exhaust system, by that meanin i got headers hi flow cat and catback, wont that help to get the burnt n2o out easier, resultin in more horsepower??

Well I guess, but you're not using nitrous all the time. Full exhaust will lower backpressure considerably, causing more low-end torque loss.

My hp racing header sucks. Fitment issues, rattles against subframe, lags, check engine light. HP customer service sucks too. Their instuctions are terrible for installations. I'll never buy another HP product again. It seems as if hurricane power inc is running their shop out of their mom's garage. idiots. they make a good cat but the racing header, which could be good, should easily fit if they say it is made for your model car although it doesn't.
