CAI for 03 LX Automatic

Does anyone know where I can find a CAI for my AT 2k3 LX? All I've been able to find is short ram. Thanks!

the only CAI you can get for an auto is the injen one (and in that case search for "injen race division intake"; they don't call it CAI). www.adventon.com sells it for around $200 or a bit less. honestly, though, gains are minimal, so you're really just going for sound. i'd pay the $86 or so for the AEM SRI just for the sound.....but that's just me

EDIT: actually, the injen rd intake is even cheaper here

The only CAI I believe would be one by Injen, but I may be wrong.

Thank you! It's been almost impossible to find CAI for my car since I ended up with an automatic, but beggers can't be choosers! Anyway, any recommendations for headers and exhaust?

i think the only headers for LX is kamakaze..correct me if i'm wrong. exhaust...the sky's the limit bro. you got custom, you got tanabe, apexi, OBX, magnaflow. if money's not an issue, then go with tanabe or apexi.

Intake = Injen Race Divison (only one for auto)
Headers = Kamikaze (only one)
Exhaust = their are a lot to choose from

Actually DC headers are the worse you gain like .00001 horsepower out of that thing. Its almost the same size as stock.

You should get a K&N FIPK II. It's a short ram intake, but:

It's got a plastic tube so it doesn't heat up (AEM and Injen intakes are metal and get very hot)

It's got a heat shield to help keep hot air from the engine out. This makes it similar to a CAI in function.

It comes with a cleaning (they call it "recharging" kit).

It has a perfect fit.

Since it's short, there's no chance of hydrolock (hydrolock is when you get water sucked into your engine and happens with CAIs, although not very often... you'd have to drive through a puddle or something. It's very rare. but when it happens it usually ruins your engine).

Everyone who has it likes it

No loss of low end torque like there are with some other intakes.

4.6hp dynoed gain.

Here's a pic of the Kamikaze header I had. High Luster Ceramic coating.

My cousin bought that too when he bought my Civic.

The diameter is A LOT bigger than the DC sports. But, with Kamikaze, you will lose your cat converter (only on an LX).

I think whether you get HP or Kamikaze, you would still need an o2 simulator (?) or mil eliminator because the header will replace the cat (since you have an LX).

Not sure if HP makes headers for LX. I know I read somewhere around here that someone got an HP header on his LX, but I'm not sure if that's true.
