As long as you do not completely submerge the filter in a puddle, you should be fine. Splashing, heavy rain or water splashing up on your engine should not be problems. If you are this worried about the product, I either suggest not buying it, because there will always be risked involved, or only drive your car when its not raining to completely eliminate any risk. You should definitely not go in anything deeper than a foot. Just remember to always play it safe. And of course alway remember that anything is possible, and to not rely on my advice as if it came from the Bible of Car Performance. The best thing to do to eliminate fears is to call an AEM rep and talk to them about it. They'll put your fears to rest, or spell it out for you clearly. I have talked to Robert green at AEM about several things and never get off the phone wondering about anything. You can reach him at 310-484-2322 ext. 247.

Before everyone starts knocking the s**t out of this thing, let wait to see some dyno's first. The technology that AEM is claiming to be using is proven, and if AEM was able to tune the V2 properly, this should bring about some great results. They are the best in the business and were the ones able to pull 20.7 (Honda Tuning: Oct) more hp out of the RSX-S when all the other manufacturers (Except DC Sports: 19.7 hp) were not even getting half of that. Granted most of them were SRI's, but 20+ hp increases for a product thats less than $250, is quite impressive. If the V2 can bump my LX gains from the AEM CAI up from 5.3 hp to say 8.3 hp, I know I'd be willing to sell my AEM CAI and spend the extra $35 or so to get get the V2. Lets give them a chance to prove their product before we start ripping them up. They've done pretty well so far.
