what do u think of these recommendations???
to start off with, i have enough capital now this was given too me a few months ago, I have a civic 2001 LX automatic
" can't recommend anything that doesn't give you POSITIVE results across the entire powerband instead of just around the top end. However, Jason's car has 18 inch rims and he was able to keep up with an EX with stock rims with an exhaust and intake... so that says he's got a good combo with his cat converter. Without the cat, it's hard to tell the difference from stock.
People like the AEM/Injen Cold Air Intake for 5-speeds. If you have an automatic, a lot of us will say go with the short ram intake. Injen makes a Cold Air Intake for automatics. These are the most popular brands but there are a lot others. Some people would rather make their own custom intake. It's not hard to do.
The people in my team go against DC Sports Headers. There are other's like HP's. Some people say we don't have good headers available for our ride but I don't understand why they say that. Perhaps someone else can explain that.
Finally, exhausts... I dunno. I say put your money in the sound you desire. I haven't heard anyone really dissatisfied about their exhaust's performance. An exhaust alone will cost you your low to mid-range torque in exhange for a bit more high range torque. I hear having an intake will clean that loss up. This is what I have on my car, and I like Skunk2's. People say it compares to GReddy EVO but after getting to hear both exhausts Skunk2's has a smoother sound. They're deep... loud, but not louder than custom piping. GReddy's will scrape if your car is lowered due to it's big muffler... Skunk2's will melt your bumper if you don't angle the muffler hangers correctly. Skunk2's comes with a silencer. GReddy's doesn't. GReddy's is considered legal. I dunno about Skunk2's.
In the end, it's all about personal preference. In the end, it looks like none of it is gonna work unless you change the stock cat converter. "
what do u think, I need other stuff, for my car but this is just a general idea i got from on of the members

might want to look into editing that post but i think this thing is up to you. Do the research like most of us do decide how much money you got and your willing to spend and go from there. Taking into consideration emission laws (if they apply) what the real gains are and if the gains and product are worth the money. Remember this tho, you get what you pay for in this game. As far as exhausts go you want one i HIGHLY recommend the Tanabe Rspec exhaust its the best one out there and produces the most gains in Hp and torque
