Dirty engine......

I need to clean my engine and intake filter... Is it safe to use engine cleaner under the hood and rinse it with water??? Will it mess up any sensors? And should i leave it running or in the off possition?

Re: Dirty engine......

Everything in the engine compartment is water resistant. Everything can get wet when it rains or snows.

Not water PROOF, so you still have to be careful. Don't use a pressure washer unless you really know what you are doing as far as correcting electrical problems caused by water entry,

It will tell you on the back of the engine cleaner can. I believe it is suppos to not be running but should be warm. Read the can!
