Okay so I need to know if my D17A2 is the same as the D17A6. If it is i am golden. If its not then I am gonna scrap it and get something else. The D17A2 is what I have. It is in a civic HX 2001. I want to know if the mods for the D17A6 are the same i.e manafold, intake, pistons, cranks. Im looking for some good news here fellas. thanks

I'm almost positive there the same. You might have to swap a sensor or two. I used a non vtec motor remake my ex motor. Just rebuilt the head and put the vtec head on the non vtec motor and it works better than stock. Have no speed governor anymore. Haha
