What engine do I have

Hi guys. Stupid question here, but how do I find out which motor I have. I bought a 2005 civic sedan, was told it was an ex but vin says lx. Car is fully loaded with power moonfoof, 15" allows, leather wheel and shifter, etc.etc. Where do I find this info? thx

Are you in the USA? Post the VIN if you are.
Does the engine say VTEC on top? Is there a VTEC valve on the head?

Anyone can swap wheels and stick an aftermarket sunroof in a car.

After some research I found the stamp. It is a d17a2. The moonroof is the stock one, not aftermarket. Strange the vin comes up as an lx...oh well..thx

The vin on what? There are vins everywhere on the car. Check the vin number on the transmission and engine. Look around it's a small green strip

Re: What engine do I have

(oh duh, you were asking about the engine in the first post--sorry) D17A2, wheelz and sunroof say EX or EX-SE.....I'm interested in seeing if my parts catalog calls the VIN a LX as you say.
