new turbo, need help!!!

Hello, i just recently got a 2003 Honda Civic Ex and wanted to modify it by putting a turbocharger and an air cooler, as of right now it is stock. Any ideas of kits u would suggest buying would be very helpful, also ive never put a turbocharger in a car so a helpful video of how to do one on the web would be nice to see.
Thanks for any help.

Not to sound like a dick man but u really need to go do more research...I dont think you should take on something like this....its not just a simple kit you slap on and drive..its alot more than that man.

I was about to say the same.

I've tried the "let's slap it on and see how things work" aspect of turbocharging, and that lasted maybe a year, year and a half. I have a lot more knowledge of turbocharging now, and I still don't feel as if I can safely turbo my car yet.

On top of the turbo, plumbing, and intercooler, you have to look at fuel management. How much boost you wanna run, what are your horsepower goals. Is that much boost going to justify a higher capacity fuel pump? You'll most likely need higher capacity fuel injectors, RSX 310cc injectors will be safe for something like 6-8psi of boost.
To control those injectors, you're gonna need fuel/engine management, to maintain a proper air/fuel ratio. A piggyback system can only get you so far, and many people try and stray away from those. Hondata's K-pro is going to be your best option for EMS, but that can run you over a grand alone.

Go ahead and take a look at out "Advanced Engine Performance" sub-forum and browse around. Here's a good place to start: https://www.civicforums.com/forums/7...turbo-faq.html
It may be a little harder now to find information as some of our former members left this thread very disgruntled and removed the information they have provided, but if you still have questions, feel free to ask. We'll try and help out as much as we can.
