I need help designing my o1 civic setup not sure what to do with it
i just bought a 01 civic lx 4 door 5 speed and im wondering what i can do to it i got the car for dirt cheap so i dont mind investing a bit of money into it has a d17a1 couple buddys said i should just run a boost setup but i was wondering if i could get decent results with a n/a setup im only looking for like 130-140 but i also did think about doing a complete swap idk i have so many options can anyone help me out

For the D17 you won't get a lot of horsepower with a n/a setup. Its best to boost or engine swap if you want to make a lot of power. If you only want 130-140 hp then I/h/e a cam (stage 2) with k-pro might get you there. Possibly a stage 1 cam but stage 2 with a k-pro will set you up for a turbo setup later. Since you have an Lx you can't get a Crower cam, so you either need to do a head swap to do the cam or go with a company called Gude. You can also stay with stock cam and a mild boost setup and get good results and more hp then you 140. Swap options are a k-sereies. 200hp n/a.

k-swap - around 8k bucks.
D17A2 head swap + stage 1 cam + !/H/E is easier to do and you get around 125 WHP
