2001 LX AEM V2 review
So i installed a V2 on my 01 LX this morning, and after testing it out today, i am very pleasantly surprised. i can really feel the difference, especially around 4000-5000rpm. As of right now, i'm running the intake with a stock exhaust manifold (i have a kamikaze header that I'll be installing in the next few days). and even still, it is a noticeable gain. It was very easy to install with the included directions. all in all it took about 45min-1hr. it looks awesome in my engine bay too. The V2 should be an easy decision for anyone looking to buy an intake.

you have alot to learn punk for one you just spent almost $300 dollars for something you could have accomplished with $60. and anything you feel from just a short ram intake is all in your head. i bet you didn't evan do a idle re-learn.

driving is for emotion. who cares if you didn't increase hp or torque. you enjoy the car more, so it was worth installing. that's how i look at it anyway, having one of the loudest na cars on the site.

Whos sipping haterade in this piece? Chill guys.
I also bought an AEM v2 for about the same price right when it came out... Some people will pay more to rock brand name stuff in their engine bay- yeah you can buy an ebay intake and stick the same filter on the end, but I find the finish really nice on the intake and love the huge pipe in my bay. I know people can argue for days about how much a waste of money it is- but when your first starting out, many people stick with the big names so they dont waste their money on junk in the beginning.

well i'm happy with my decision. and yes, it allows much more pride to have big name stuff. after my header install tomorrow, i'm going to start my search for an A2 head. so if you guys know anything, let me know.

I hear you on the "pleasantly surprised" bit. I'm rocking a V2 in my 02 ex. I have to admit, it definitely "feels" a bit different than when I had my Weapon*R Dragon intake, and most definitely has a MUCH different sound.

i love my weapon-r secret intake and big brands are where its at. they have done the research. i get better gas mileage, noticable power boost, better filtration, and cool sounds.
