How are people breaking them? The assembly looks exactly like the factory assembly.

I bought KumoSport bushings.

Grey doesn't sell the bushings. He sells a washer, pin, and ring kit. It is used to make the cables and shifter stiffer. The bushings stiffen up the shifter base. You can get the bushing from kumosports, but I found a guy named KABE on clubrsx.com that is selling them for $22.00 shipped. I would get both. If you get version 2 and greys' kit you will need to go to Lowes and get a 1/2" replacement screw for the one that is used to adjust the throws. It's the little black hex screw.

I can vouch that each of the mods to the shifter makes a nice difference.
I put in the shifter first, then greys kit, and then the bushings. Each time I changed the set up I could tell.

Anybody also replace the actual boot? With the lowered position of the ****, there's some serious slack in the boot. Looks kinda fugly, but I can deal.

BTW, the factory assembly and Revo assembly look identical. The lever it's obviously different on the Revo to accomodate the adjustment in throw using the sliding pin (or whatever).
