Difference between Stage 1 and 2 shifter

i'm lookin to buy a new short shifter for my 03 civic ex. i have a question, what's teh difference between a stage 1 and stage 2 shifter. are those the only two types or are there more?

Revo SS is usual pick on this forum.... there are other cheaper choices such as DC sports, Neuspeed, Solo but those are not full replacements.... Revo SS can be had for about $100-$130

I loved my revo ss untill it broke .............. And I baby my car with the upgrADed bolts and washers..... less than one year.... Just needs to be welded back on

revo sucks, i've heard of lots of people breaking their short shifters, it's supposed to be a solid piece of metal, but what use is one broken?? =| ehh

theres an article somewhere on ivtecdaily.com/net whichever...anyway, he just jb welded the place where the weld is on the shifter due to stories that they can break off. i intend to do that sometime soon.

Too many problem with revo welds cracking after about a year.
I'd go with full replacement route, B&M

Its like the neuspeed and DC but it has a side to side shortener too.

damn ive had a revo for four years and 55k. its was my first mod and holds a trust 1lb weighted **** no problem.

good **** right there, i've had mine for nearly 6months now, and all i can say is i love it. feels much better than the revo. alot more solid.

I've had the revo on my civic and rsx...Worked good on my civic had it for about 1yr but after 4 months of it in my rsx it broke..

dude i have a used REVO SS and i installed it myself and it works fine. i believe i got it with 65k or something on it already. idk. but anyway, revo can be found for 100 shipped.
