Got my header in today!
I finally got my megan racing header in today. I gotta go pick it up at a friends house at 5:15 today. Hopefully I will get to instal it on before my next class starts. I'll post pics if I can find my camera.

i like it a lot. i can feel it pulling around 4000 rpm. theres more punch when i floor it too. hmm...as for sound. i dont think my exhaust got louder but i think my intake did though. haha...either that or im just trippin out. its a really good header. the header fit on there perfectly. not much trouble at all.

I just recentally got a 2 1/4 stainless steel exhaust, with random cat converter, apexi n1 muffler and dezod resignator. I did notice a verry big loss in low and mid range torque, but gained alot in the top end. It sounded good but got verry raspy around 2500-3000 rpm, so i installed my resignator, not expecting to notice a difference. Man i was verry shocked i got back low and mid range and still kept the top end torque, and it's not raspy any more. So alltogether i'de say it's defentally worth the investment.

Well depends on what you want, ceramic is usually a steel header with a heat coating on it but it can still rust but will not discolor, stainless steel will never rust but will discolor verry fast from the heat, stainless you can polish and remove discoloration but it will come right back, When you look at stainless allways make sure it's 304 series stainless steel, 304 basically means it has no iron or steel in it so it will never rust. I sugest you go with kamikaze right now their making the best headers for our car's

BTW, if kamikaza header + random cat, how much gain is realistic expectation and will this setup expected to have loss in low and mid range torque. Tks.

true you do loose torquein low and mid range, but with resignator it creat's back pressure giving you back torque. So it was 100% top end torque that i gained, It pull's verry hard for 3500- to red line.

Not every header will make u lose Low end. 4-2-1 are design to INCREASE low/midrange power while a 4-1 is all about top end. The reason most people are probably losing low end power is because the piping/header combo is to large for the engine. The larger your piping, the less backpressure so YES u will lose low end. BUT if u get smaller piping, u will get more low end, but less top end. See what you want before buying parts.
The Kamikaze LX header has a NICE 2 1/4" piping, and when matted to a 2 1/4" exhaust will give good gains if u have a modded engine. But if your engine is stock it will probably be TO large and do more harm then good.
I just installed my 2 1/4" piping to apexi N1, and my AEM intake. Shortly i am looking into buying a kamikaze LX header, and a highflow cat. But this will probably make me lose HP, until i do an EX head swap and crower cam. then 2 1/4" will be optimal.
