Angry Broken CAI

I have an AEM CAI. I've had it on the car for about a year with no problems. Today I popped the hood to discover that the upper mount was broken, leaving a 1" by 1\2" hole in the pipe. THIS SUCKS!!! Has anyone else had any similar problems?

This is a common problem with the V2 but I haven't seen this happen on the CAI.
Try contacting AEM and see if they'll warranty it.

Yeah. Thanks. I'm not too worried about fixing it since I'm swapping on a D16y8 manifold soon. Duck tape works just fine.

It's not really worth fixing anyway, since it sometimes bangs against the transmission. So there's a big dent in the lower pipe.

I'll still live by my V2... I dont care if it keeps braking... you pay the price for the V2, you get lifetime warranty.... and they have improved the design a little bit.
