Question for those with headers
I'm intrested in getting a header and was told to wait until it spring because the weather effects the way the headers breaks in. Is this true? or will it not matter if I get my header now. Also which header is the best out there? I've been told to get the DC sports header, but I'm not sure. And should I get 4-1 or 4-2-1? Which is better? Low end or High end?

Ive never heard of weather affecting headers but it could. I was told for our Civics get a 4-2-1 header cause that would provide the most HP boost. And DC Sports are the best for headers IMO.
ah yeah...why would 4-2-1 headers provide the most horespower boost, and if they did why would they make 4-1?
if you're planning to stay naturaly aspirated with you 2k1 go with 4-2-1...they create more backpressure than 4-1 headers which is very neccessary for our engines, especially in low and mid-range power...
if you plan to go turbo/supercharged go with 4-1, you want to get the air out as fast as possible............if you plan to stay naturaly aspirated, i hope you're not expecting major gains with a set of headers...it's not the best bang for the buck because you will also need a new cat. because of the stupid location of ours, on average you will see about 1-2 hp gains in different spots in your power band...you will also see some losses of 1-2 hp at other spots....you will definatley gain power at peak, probobly somwhere around 3-5 hp. again, how effective the headers are really depends on how good your other mods are....and what your other mods are.....

Right now, if you want a bolt on header then your only option is the upper section of the 4-2-1, which makes it a 4-2 header. Otherwise, you will have to get a unit that needs to be welded onto the cat.

That would be correct
Honda welded the cat to the downpipe
