Breather Filter
For anyone using an intake and having trouble connecting thse rubber hose into the breather and the intake piping let me know. I put together a new idea and it could help some of you. What I did was get a mini k&n filter and put one on each end. One on the intake piping and one on the breather itself. It seemed to make more noise and freed up some air. Now my intake has two filters while my head uses its own freeing up some air hopefully. I only spent 40$ which was alot because I could get em cheaper but this was a good brand and I havent found it anywhere else so I had to get it. If any of you members want pix let me know. The pix I took are too big to be uploaded onto this site.

The hose is just too small, huh? Most of them seem that way. Just keep trying to get it on, and it should eventually go on. Lots of twisting, trying to keep it straight, and twisting, and pushing in, and keep trying. It should eventually go on.

why not just put a cap on the part where you put the 2nd filter for the intake, would save some cash. would too much air be bad for it? i know when i had my CAI my mileage got a little worse. post some pics of this though, i'd like to see how it looks. i'm sure other people would too, but probably to lazy to post.
[edit]just talked to my buddy, he said a breather on the head is illegal.[/edit]

I know its not emissions legal. I have read the manual. Either way, I can remove the filter in no time and put back the rubber hose that aem supplied me with. I hear more noise now from the intake.
I dont need to get another smog inspection for another 2+years. And even if I did get a smog inspection it would be no problem because the guy will just pass me.

I know I was going to plug it the intake hole, but with what. It was only 10$ extra so not that big of a deal. I wouldnt say I lost hp because it freed up air man. I donno what to use to plug the hole. any suggestions? btw our intake holes are way bigger than previous gen civics if you know what I mean....
I put a vaccum cap on my intake and put a small K&N filter on the end of a piece of hose, looks bad ***, and now only fresh air comes in the engine and no hot air and oil vapors.
