It gives a few more hp when tuned, otherwise not really worth it without alot of other mods. It's around $300 for the vafcII from apexi. Most of our vendors have it.

um if you have a 5-speed and he is only running low 16's you should be able to beat him, basically stock. run some good tires or something.,and take the rear seats and trunk stuff out to give you a little more of an advantage.

+5 or 10 whp more maybe. They don't do much for our cars. Stock civic 5 speed is roughly 110whp to start.

dude you shouldnt be modding a car solely on the purpose of wanting to beat a muscle car...Thats not whats its all about.

BUT, for the sake of the post. I would get a VAFC II, but not for the D17, you'd be lucky to get 10 horsepower from the tune. Vtec is for DOHC engines...woot.

I wouldnt get the Vtec Controller for the stock engine. However, if you wanna go ahead and swap and/or turbo, than you could get a one or have a hondata to really set it up and you'd be good to go.

if it was cheaper to buy and tune then it would be a really good product to have. try to find a used one and go from there.

Civic_RedLine will become famous soon enough
I would suggest buying bolt-ons before the vafc. Then when you dont have anything else left to buy go with the vafc.
