Something odd with K & N FIPK
It had been raining steady for a bit. Get into my car and drive. 5 minutes later stopped at a red light, turned green and I take off. I hear a mild grind when i hit the gas and the shifter has a shake. I believe the filter sucked up water. This is rather werid because I haven't heard of a short ram air doing so.

Mabe a little, but not enoug to do damage. I was drivin fast while it was snowing and the next day noticed there was salt stains on the shield and filter. Just a little splash tho nothing big. If you're at a light I can't see how water could even touch the filter.
this happened to me too the other day, but i think it might be the exhaust and not the FIPK II. didnt someone say that if water touches the exhaust or something, that it would make the car/shifter shake?

Yup. It's the b-pipe expanding and hitting the car body. There's actually a new piece from Honda if you have stock exhaust or a muffler shop can fix it.
im just wondering, what exactly do they do at the muffler shop? because i have 2.25 piping and i got a one year warranty from them. should i bring it in? or is it not really that big of a deal?

. btw, he has an lx, no b-pipe.it doesnt cause grinding (at least not in my car). when the exhaust pipe expands, it hits the chassis. Thats what causes the vibrations.
hope this answers your question until gearbox responds
i think that there has to be alotta water on the road. like if theres puddles or something. for example, southern california last week. lol. when it rained before, i never had the vibrations in my car. but when there was alot of water accumulating (is that the right word?lol) on the road last week, i had the vibrations.
i hope that makes sense? sorry, i just woke up
