HKS Axelback and Apexi GT spec midpipe
HKS Axelback and Apexi GT spec midpipe
would the hks rear section axel back fit right with an apexi gt spec midpipe? i was debating buying one if it would fit right. im sure it would be a little bit quieter than my gt spec muffler.
I don't know if the pipes will match up, but I did find this:

It might help with the sound issue, but from what I have heard the HKS exhaust is pretty loud on its own...

Do you already have a cat-back? If so, you should go to your local auto part store and buy a cherry bomb and have it welded in. My buddy did this and it got a lot quieter. He didnt have a cat so when he did this, he had flanges welded in so that when emissions comes around he can take out the cherry bomb and bolt up a cat converter. Its that simple......very inexpensive and works great.

it would probably work if the flanges are the same where they meet.

The Hks piping is a little less then 2 inches like 1.8" i think... the GT pipe i expect is like 60 mm. 2.54cm = 1 inch so the GT pipe is like 2.3 inches.... So there is a about a half inch difference in piping diameter. Something to think about...

If you are only using a cherry bomb it is loud. When you have a cherry bomb in the middle and another muffler out back it makes it pretty quite. Its not going to be silent or anything. But it will be quite. I flowed a cherrybomb on a flow bench and it flowed about 100% which means it will not hurt performance at all.

Nah dude I'm 100% sure that the piping on the HKS is a little less than 2 inches. I have it off my car right now and I measured the circumference of the pipe with paper strip on the outside. Then I made a circle with the paper and measured the diameter and it was exactly 2 inches give or take a little bit. Thats the Outside diameter of the pipe and not the inside. Therefore the inside has to be less then 2 inches. Kinda sucks doesnt it...
