That is a good deal. VafcII I've heard gets reset by the newer ecu, but there's no proof. Maybe ask gtracing I know he tuned his a while back but don't know if he went again. I'm getting mine tuned again but it's on an 02.

if you read the vafc install we debated it on there but there is no proof yet.. there have been numerous members who got there cars tuned with the vafc2 and have yet to go back later and get it dyno tuned to see if it does reset back to stock
u know how when u tune your car then it feels like it went back to stock?.. thats basically people thinking there car is going back to stock.. some thins its the ecu resetting and some think its just you adjusting to the feeling....
u probably would.. best thing to do is tune your car with the vafc2 then a few onths or a year from then you go and get it tuned again... is the settings went back to stock then you know for sure... were just waiting on some people to actually do it

It doesn't make sense tho for the ecu to revert back to a non-tuned profile. Everything, including emissions, works better with an ideal a/f ratio.

I really want to get the SAFC, but the whole reset thing has me worried. Will the ecu reset with emanage? One of these plus that crower cam if it comes out would probaly give me some good gains? Might wait a little while before I go N20.

I'm waiting for cam too. I really don't think the ecu can reset it, since the vafcII modifies the signal AFTER it passes through the ecu. So whatever changes the car would make would automatically be recalculated according to what is set on the vafc.
I think you are right gearbox. I dynoed my car after driving for a month and it was almost exact. Oh emanage inst that great for boosting the 7thgen because our ECUs are crap to begin with. I just sold mine and last Friday I ordered an AEM unit with a 3.5 bar map sensor. Its really the best way to go. The price kills you at 1500 but its worth not tripping the ECU off leaving a car show and being embarrassed in front of all the old-timers. hehe I'll let you guys know how the aem works out. my hopes are high.
