cam gear for sohc non-vtec

I was just wondering if the AEM cam gear will do anything for me as far as performance goes. anything at all just as long as it doesn't f up my engine some how.

a cam gear will do nothing for a stock cam. But it will take some money out of your pocket.

easy it can not help by making less power.
sorry to be a wise *** but, it is true. I have tried both advancing and retarding cam timing on a dyno. The best stting is ZERO.

if you have major motors mods............f/i or n2o......then it is good to retard the timing, but on stock, it is worthless.

Agreed... my brother has the AEM cam gear and it doesnt do anything. Plus you need a person that knows how to work that stuff.... if not, you'll feel less power.
