agreed. that's why minimum you need a swap. then boost. I'm going to do some measurements on my srt-4 and see if my A853 would fit under the hood of my 03 ex coupe...it would take MAJOR fabrication but it would definetely be worth it

)...let's say I grew up in a large family with 6 uncles, a father, and a grandfather all into different aspects of racing...lets say the grandfather and the father own a garage at which I am employed full time when not at school, and let's say that I have had ZERO life outside of cars for my entire life...for example, the only girl I ever met and dated works with me at the garage, and let's say I can't stand ricers as much as you (I think everyone with a brain and a wrench agrees on that)
I'm not trying to start a qualification war here just saying that hypothetically we come from similar backgrounds
My question is: how are you going to make power out of the D17 without the boost? If you can, even with fabbed pieces, please please post more. No sarcasm at all I wanna know how to hotrod it. Because on my dynotune (god I love that program), the standard "bolt-ons" did diddly squat...this included very aggressive N/A cams, cam gears, header, intake manny, CAI, testpipe, 3" dual exhaust, ported and polished heads, forged pistons and connecting rods, larger oil pan, water pump, underdrive pully, oil cooler, replaced rockers, arms, and lifters, gaskets and seals, fuel rail and injectors, larger t-body, etc. etc....all of this put together at humungous cost gave me a whopping 16HP
Not until I changed the compression ratio did anything significant happen, topping out at a measly 200 HP ballpark figure. And at 11.1:1, turbo would not be a good add-on. I just keep running into the old phrase: "there is no replacement for displacement"...the damn thing is just too small 
So if you did anything that I didn't think of, please please please send me...I'm begging here, in all seriousness. Then again, your other option was just to realize that your car is slow, which is what I had to do after seeing the d17's sad numbers...great fuel economy engine, bad performance engine

Funny guys, anyhoo found out the ebay Fuel rail will not work it was made for the D16 with a three point bolt pattern so, not ours. Ours is two-I will ask STR to send me a pic of the rail, sorry if this turns out to be a bust --hope not for us. laters

I am planning to boost my car with a full engine build. Wish I could have gone to school for that stuff, lucky bastard. N/A I figure 200HP is almost maxed out. I don't know how to get any more to be honest. Maybe playing around lots with induction and the cylinder head will yield better numbers,IDK for sure. That why I bought a turbo. KMS Built a sweet N/A motor and I dont even think they got any kind of crazy numbers.
