I've searched and couldn't find what I was looking for. I have an automatic LX. Which is better for sound and max hp gain? Sorry, I'm sure this has been asked before.

SRI - More power in the high bands 4000 RPM to Redline

CAI - More Lower end power from 1000 - 3000 RPM.

They both will sound nice !! If you have an Auto...I would go with a short ram.
I have an AEM SR on mine and I love it !! Get an AEM if you get a short ram, and the INjen for the CAI.

So AEM does make an SRI for an auto lx? I was always told they didn't.

I'm 100% certain....the SRI gives you high end, and CAI gives you low end.
The CAI works more off of Cold Air, and the short ram works off of the velocity of the air. And when my car gets up to 4000 RPM, the intake growls and the car goes zoom.
I have the AEM short ram.

no antidote is correct the SRI delivers more high end power than the CAI, but if you think about it, if your envolved in a race are you ever going to shift if your going to end up under 4000 rpm's I DONT THINK SO. And if you do I want to race you for money, I'll race a NOS car if he has to shift at 4000 rpm's all the time.

the CAIs are 2 pieces right? can you jsut use one of the pieces to make it an SRI? CAIs seem to be much cheaper than SRIs (and i already ordered a CAI before I found out that I should use an SRI for my auto.)
