Put in a k-20a1 or k-20a2 if your gonna blow money on a turbo might as well move up to the next level and put in a good engine. Go and see the hasport civic and then decide. Even with a turbo you will barely push over 200 whp. If I had the $ i would do it

what was the best mod you did the felt like it made the most power ? ecu? how much do you rev to ? rev limiter ? and did you notie a big gain after hondata? if you have hondata you still need a vafc ?why ?

You could install pedals, that way all your pasengers could help you go faster!@!!

I'm sure its all ready been posted, but for quick/relitivly cheep power... Turbo is the way to go. If you want a more liniar power band then all motor or SUpercharger(none Exzist for our cars). HP to HP All motor will cost more then turbo.

what imma juss do is install my clucth and flywheel and then im done cuz i gotta start saving for the Evo....but anyways replying to mclean987, the best mods to my car was prolly the hondata, apexi vafc2, and most definately the unothodox 3pcs pulley set....i have the hondata replace my ecu and work as my vtec controller, rev limiter and minor fuel management work, the vafc is my primary air.fuel management system cuz the vtec controller conflicts with the ecu(whatever the mechanic told me)...

right now my red line is set at 8500 without a fuel cut...once my clutch and flywheel are installed, i will dyno tune my car and post the results...check back in about 2-3 weeks for the results...

How did you raise the rev limiter? How did you get Hondata to work. I am very interested on how you got it to work,

Greddy turbo kit would be nice and most probably street legal, but the likelyhood of them building a kit for this Civic is close to none as of now.

I do not really know how technician did it...i told him to set my revi limit higher and have my VTEC kick in at 3200rpm...he had no trouble installing them but the trouble was the conflict b/w the hondata and vafc2...ill ask him about it and post it as soon as i find out how....

i got the hks-a downpipe off ebay, lately i've only been seein high flow cats there but i just typed in "01 civic" in the search bar and it brought up like 12 pages so i just started lookin thru, or you can search it on there, i might even be sellin mine cause i have my emissions test commin up soon and if my friends shop cant pass me then i'd have to take it off and put the stock cat back on and then put the downpipe back on so if that happens i'm just leavin it off and sellin it but its good quality, i will say it made my exhaust like 10x louder and already havin the tanabe srm my car is so loud i havn't found many imports louder than mine, only thing louder are v8 stangs, camaros, trans-ams, and my friends suburban

i need to know more about this also?

Wouldnt are motor shatter to pieces are 8500 RPM's?

If it does work, that would be awsome, esspecialy to have the fuel tuned to make power all the way to the set revlimiter.

why buy all that stuff dude? when you can go turbo. 160hp or less wont do you any good at the tracks. just go turbo or n2o so you can stop wasting your money.
