any more parts for more power?
i need some input on more parts for my car....i got most of the bolt-ons....intake, exhaust, headers, pulleys, cam gear, replaced ecu, VAFC-2...but i wanna add more power to my car without adding a turbo....an ACT clutch and flywheel are on the way and will be in within the next month.....but im looking to get an intake manifold and camshaft....anyone got info on where i can get them without sending them my OEM parts? or any advice on what else to put? check out my ride and see what ive done to it.....thanks!
really....where else can i look for an intake manifold? maybe even a camshaft? i heard about dh-racinb but i dont know if theyre any good and their website is kinda confusing...they say that they carry parts for the D17 but when u try and order it, it doesnt show the D17 model....help please!!!

There are lots of DH racing group guy and stuff on this site. I've already got the pulley, and now I'm waiting for the ported head to get back. I would wait and see if any of us get good gains first.
You could get that hyper voltage system. Also gives a bit more gain.

if your gonna go all motor build up your internals
high compression pistons, PnP head **** like that.
how that you have exhausted all the cheap bolt on resources you gotta start spending $$$.

but other than dh-racing....theres no other place i can get an inatke manifold and camshaft? let me know how that port/polished head worked when u get it gearbox...thanx....but i still need more input on what other parts to get...
Please dyno your car with all those boltons. You will freaking cry when you find out all that money and you got maybe 10hp. Say I am wrong. Say I dont know shiet. But dyno and then come back to me. If you have the VAFC2 you need to dyno tune it either way.
Post your results once you are done, so others dont follow your path to money pit hell.
If you build then engine and plan to spend that much money, why not go turbo? What are your goals. In a couple of years there will be a K20 Civic Coupe . They make them in other markets already. So if your point is to stay stock. You will just be acouple of years ahead of honda.

its juss that you can spend so much money to buy a turbo kit/intercooler/etc. and instead of an 18sec 1/4 mile, its a 16sec 1/4 mile...did u guys ever read about that edelbrock Turbo civic in sportcompactcar? they spent hella $$$ on the 2000 civic and got only 16sec 1/4 mile! so my plan is juss to make the best outta the D17A2...after i get my clutch and flywheel and hopefully my camshaft and intake manifold...i will post my dyno results (see back May 2004)...my civic may gain only 10-20 hp but i cant expect that much from a vic...juss waitin to get my savings account to $6000 to put a down payment on a EVO!! lol....

I turned the boost down to around 6psi and ran 14's w/ slipping clutch.
I know for sure once I break in my new ACT clutch that I will be running 13's at 12psi.
My turbo kit w/ all my add ons is still only $2,500.
So how much have you spent to date on all your bolt-ons? And how many HP did you gain?
I am looking at around $20 a hp on my setup.
So if you spent let say up to $800 so far. and only got 10-20 hp then you are spending more than me per HP.
Math is math. What is more cost effective? Bang for Buck.

Honestly with the stuff you have so far a turbo would work nicely. But if you plan on buying an EVO why do the IM and engne work. The custom IM is only good for FI.
if ur goin all motor i say dh racing pnp head, intake manifold, and throttle body, and some other stuff like pistons and cams, one thing i have that you didnt' list you had is either a high flow cat or a cat-less downpipe/test pipe, i got mine for like $75 and i could really notice a difference, i got the HKS-a downpipe/testpipe (catless) and they say +9whp but im not sure but i definately did notice a gain
well im still gonna have my civic cuz i love this car! so basically what most of ya'll r sayin is to get a turbo kit huh? well imma get my clutch and flywheel in next week and then ill dyno the car and see how much has been added....i still wanna finish my camshaft and intake manifold before i add a turbo but im haviung trouble finding both....anyone have suggestions?
to date ive prolly spent more than a G on my bolt ons (AEM CAI- $200, DC Headers - $275, Custom Exhaust - $350, AEM CamGear - $150, Hondata S200 - $300, Unorthodox Racing Pulleys - $325, Apex'i VAFCII - $300 = $1900 w/o Installation Prices!! so ive spent prolly $3000 on engine mods installed....this is not even including all my suspension work!!! but with all the money ive spent on this damn engine, i feel good pull but i dont kno how much hp im running....

I just quoted you saying that most members w/turbo run 14's or faster.
Sorry for the misunderstanding.

But with the mods you have and plan to get, a turbo would work good.
If you get a cam besure to get an FI cam just incase you later go boosted.
guns, wut're u talking about, this k20 civic? was it that japanese magazine article posted earlier with the k series 2.2 liter turbo honda?
that thing was a civic? or are you talking about something else? or maybe you were talking about the SI? I'm just confused @_@

Do you think different?
I forgot the country but there is a four door civic with the K20 engine. Search diff country honda sites, you will find it. I know its out there. Just do a search on google or something.

Since you are spraying NOS, then you have the most bang for buck.
How often do you have to refill? How much HP are you getting?
Just curious. NOS might be a good alternative to Boost for this guy. He has sunk a boat load of money into his setup and probably only got 20hp from all his bolt ons.

but yeah i was thinking the same thing. N2O might be the alternative for him.
when it comes down to it he probably wont get very far all motor with out spending a **** load of money and he will max out the mods he can do before a guy with a turbo can.
and still not have the same amount of HP
and once you go with high comp pistons you have to go all motor.
cuz obviously the boost aint gonna like that.
im running N2O for now. i might be getting a turbo kit in august but i havent decided yet.
i havent dynoed the car on the N2O but SpdRcrChk has. she posted her #'s and she hit 185whp. i cant remember the shot though. ill look it up and then post back. it was either a 50 or 75. probably the latter.
but like i said i got the N2O for now. i have to upgrade my fuel systme either way. havent decided weather or not to go with SF alcohol or convert to a retun style system.
i gotta go dyno tune the car but, i dont see that happening in the near future
