mine rattles at high rpms all of the sudden. and on colder mornings, it feels like the filter hits the bumper when you hit the throttle, i already tried moving the filter in as much as i could....no difference.
Try using a K&N air filter in the stock air box. Its only $30 compared to $200. Its not as big of an increase, 1 or so, but you dont have to worry about rubbing. Did Injen ever contact you yet?

Of course not. I knew they weren't going to stand behind it... this is how all these companies do business. You buy it, then they don't give a ****.
I really don't care, my Icebox is just about done.

i took mine out and i was cleaning it and the same thing is happening to mine so i dont know what im going to do i might get an k&n or i might just what and see what happens to your icebox idea. let us know as soon as possable
Mine is pretty bad like that too, I caught it about a year ago and put this like . . . silicone, double sided tape thing over the damaged part and trimmed away the metal it was hitting. No more problems but it still sucks that they would sell something like that. They should have added another bracket somewhere on the piping.

Obviously having some kind of box rather than an open ended filter plays to the low end, but it does feel like the car is getting a little choked up above 6K. I'm thinking I can cut up the Injen piping and either build a new box to surround the cone filter I have, or get an Integra or EM1 Si airbox and modify that to fit in the car where the resonator sits. Time for ol' Boiler to get creative...
Anyone know what type of plastic the air box is made out of? Somekind of nylon or something?
