Have TB Ported?

My friend said that he does port work on his and his friends cars offered to port my throttle body. I haven't seen him do it yet but I think that he uses some type of rotary drill or tool kit, I dunno. Should I have this done?? If anybody has had their throttle body ported can they tell me what it is like?? Any gains?? THANKS

I would only trust a shop that does that sort of work on a regular basis.

if he does it, just massage it. if **** starts flying off, tell him to stop! also, you have to shave a little off the gasket. you know, to be the same size as the port..

There is a sponsor on honda-tech.com that does a great job for $100. Unless your friend can show you others that hes done?

Remember porting for FI is MUCH easier than porting for N/A. I'll shake off any company that doesn't provide proof that their product has been tested per the application.

I agree. Everyone is on the DH bandwagon, but they have yet to produce 1 dyno for their custom made parts for the d17.
