Camshaft 03 EX Coupe
no dyno planned any time soon but I'm hoping to put it just over 200 on the ground with spray .... I'm just waiting for the cam to come back now ... Do I need a VAFC2 or can I just run a SAFC2???? I mean, those people running the VAFC2 havent changed the VTEC point very far so ...
you need to have a shop who knows what it is doing tune your motor if you are going to alter fuel curves. cdmx you live in charlotte same as me. there is a shop in albemarle that does awesome work and deal with honda and acura only. pm and ill give you the details.
well, the only reason I'd be getting a VFAC2 or SAFC2 is to change the fuel curves ... I understand that the VAFC2 lets you change the VTEC point but I really dont care much about that ... with the newly ported head, all the bolt-ons (which by the way are significantly magnified and a lil more price-justifyable by the increased flow), and the spray, I need a lil more fuel at certain points I'm sure ...
So back to the edited original question ... If I dont care about the VTEC engagement point ability, will a SAFC2 work for me?

quick update - I talked to Brian at Crower today and they have recieved my cam so I'm almost in there!!! The head is back, my cam gear is back, Crower is working the cam, and my SAFC2 is on order!!! All I want is to hit 13.99 ... Is that too much to ask??? I'll have the full scoop from Crower by close of business tomorrow ..... STAY TUNED (no pun intended) ..
