Rep Power: 0 Camshaft 03 EX Coupe
Finally, I just got my 03 Civic EX Coupe back from my race shop, with the new Bullfrog Re-grind camshaft and AEM Tru Time Cam Gear installed. It has changed everything that I had ever liked obut my 7thgen. I can feel the power instantly, even though I retarded the gear one notch. I suggest that everyone with a 7thgen do some sort of cam job, it makes a substantial difference...tell me what you guys think or if you guys have any questions...

Rep Power: 0 No I haven't made any changes to the head...the only thing that I have done is added a Comptech cold air intake, because the cam runs so much better with alot of air. Yes, i have raced some people on my way to class this afternoon, my freinds 00 Si, another friends Celica GT, and an 01 Si Hatch. i beat the 00 Si and Celica like cake, but the 01 Si hatch was a really close race. I pulled away in the end only because my cam is a really aggressive high-end cam, not your typical replacement. Only downside to them is that your idle RPM increases a bit, but i would reccomend it to anyone with a 7thgen that trusts a race shops quality very well...

Rep Power: 0 Phillip, you had it right, one was the regrind, and one was the original. For me, the overall cost was $350 USD because I have some hook ups at a place called DB Motorsports.

Rep Power: 0 Okay, I don't know how you could say that there is not a 01 Si Hatchback, you have a picture of one in your avatar??? That model started in 2001 as a 7thgen Si Hatchback...You might wanna check on that again, because I have proof that my friends contract says 2001 Civic Si...

Rep Power: 389 03HondaEx, Spider is correct. There is NO 01 Si. Unless you live in Canada. And that version Si isn't a hatch, its a coupe.

As far as the cam being a regrind, I wouldn't worry too much about it. Some shops know what they are doing, others don't. Not all regrinds suck @ss. Granted, I (as well as everyone else on here) wouldn't mind seeing an actual replacement drop in cam for our car, but seeing as how that will never happen I think you went the right route.
Regarding having Crane make Spider a custom cam - that's bling, I'm sure, but we all can't afford such luxuries.....Wonder how much it cost him?

Rep Power: 0 Looks a little weired, the two cams are not anywhere close and it doesn't seem like it will fit in D17.
