BTW i tried making one of my own but you cant buy tubing like that at home depot or lowes the biggest they had was 1.75" and then there was some aluminum ducting...it wont work very well. Also the only scoop type thing i could find was a vacuum attachment...its not worth it...this kit comes with everything i especially like the cover for rain.
I was wondering when someone would make one of those things. I would buy one but I want to wait and see how it works on another member's car...I'm not about to put a worthless hole in my hood for some P.O.S. ram air "attachment." Dyno looks good, if anyone buys this, let me know what you think.

OK GUYS, for those of you skeptical. I doubt i will get a dyno just for this. But I will give you my best estimate on how it feels. The guy let me have it for $50 and will still let anyone else have it for 50 that i refer to him. But i should get it this week, ill post pics and let you know how it works. Oh yea i cant dyno it cause it needs ram air to work.

well the hose is 3" in diameter, you need a filter with a cone in front. It will fit over the front of the cone. Like this one for example.
something like that

What im going to do is make a heatshield over my existing filter. and ahve the pipe connected to the tip of my filter. So if i plugged the ram air kit it can still get air up by the filter.
I thought about getting one of these filters
I think it would work great with it. Thread Starter

how is this different from that fake intercooler thing that brings air up from the front of the car? They used to sell them on eBay.
Also, there's a huge bend in the pipe. Isn't RAM air all about getting air in in a straight line (like the hood of a firebird or whatever that one ram air car is)?
But, I may be interested. Also, I could report gains with my GTech.

So does the orange filter (the spot I marked with an X on my picture) on that connect to your normal intake tube?
And what about that huge bend? Wouldn't that slow air down? Look:

If you wanted to keep the CAI, i guess you could cut the tubing. But im converting my cai to an SRI then putting the tube to it. I will let you know as soon as i recieve it.
