My car should be complete on tuesday. And hopefully within a week i will have a dyno at the original 5.5 psi. So we will be comparing the new numbers to the old 165whp numbers.

Yeah but you now have alchohol injection, custom exhaust piping, and lowered compression through a thicker head gasket. So its still going to be hard to tell the gains. Especially if its only minimal gains.

the lower compression will actually drop the amount of hp i will gain. It just allows me to run more boost if i choose to do so.

I know it is not a direct comparison, but i couldnt have gained an insane amount from the exhaust.

It just gives you guys an idea of how much you will gain.

atleast were GETTING a comparison.. how often does that actua;;y happen?? anyways.. i need NO comparison... i just need dave to write me back so i can send him the money (more credit card debt, LOL).... i KNOW this head is gonna make AWESOME power... ANYONE that knows daves work knows you CANT go wrong... this is like the same price as an intake and exhaust.. we all buy that, and we all get like 4whp from it.. so why the complaints.. i say n/a guys see 15-30whp, and turbo guys see 30-50whp... dont believe me? then wait for the results to pour in, but go look at his site first dh-racing.com before you doubt the results... b16s are nice heads from the factory, and with just a throttle body and a port job he made i think 193 WHP, they put out around 135 stock , 145 at MOST... so thats a 50-60 WHP difference..... NOT flywheel hp, WHEEL HORSE POWER... this guy knows his stuff.. NOONE can port a head like dave... see you non-believers in my rear view mirror yellin "MONICA....."... lol.. im gonna be faster!

i couldnt install my head because with the thicked head gasket, you have to have adjustable cam gears. Since you are raising the physical height of the head, the timing belt is in the incorrect place. Since my head gasket was .032 bigger than stock, i would have been about 5 degrees advanced in the cam and ignition timing. That would have been catastrophic. so now i am just waiting on a head gasket.

dave has seen 90whp gains with porting heads and adding valve springs on NA cars. But each car varies, and it all depends on ow much $$$ you want to spend on a port job.

Well i just talked to KMS i asked them about their big bore throttle body service...and its actually misspriced on their website its $150 but it sounds like they use a velocity stack (what he said) and they bore it to 65mm..

for how much more will DH-Racing do this for? And how do you think the P&P jobs compare?
Cause i was offered a very good price from KMS.

Good news! I got the head back today. Complete and assembled. All i am waiting on now is the block guard. I ordered one from 3 different shops in town LAST WEEK and none of the shops have them in yet.
