Hey guys looking for better headlight quality as I live up in Northern Ontario. Any idea where I can get these HiR bulbs I'm hearing so much about?

Edit - thought it was a typo of HID - ignore my reply below

you will need to open up your headlight by heating in an oven
you will need projectors that are designed to work on the HID's also.

note that link above is for bi-xenon, where there is single bulb for high/low beams. if separate bulbs for high and low beams, need different setup

wiring is less of an hassle nowadays, they are off-the shelf.

HiR (halogen infrared reflecting) @sdaidoji , not HID

Amazon would probably be your best bet. You'll have to slightly modify the tabs to get them to fit. 9011 if you want them in your high beam, 9012 for your low beam

they're basically beefed up, brighter halogen bulbs. I guess an infrared coating lets them produce more light and less heat

Ok but isn't the 9011 and 9012 bulbs brighter then the 9005 and 9006 bulbs...hence the upgrade?

ah, i was under the impression that you wanted to know which is the low and high beams, but i see it was explained by Josh already. my bad

Thats ok...I'm just trying to get alot better light out of my headlights. But I also noticed that my headlight housings are pretty fogged up. So I'm probably gonna have to replace those aswell. But for now looking for the brightest headlight bulb I can find and the brightest yellow highbeam bulb for fog and winter weather up here. Because I can't put SI coupe fogs in this car because there is no wiring for them. So ill have to use yellow high beams for now.
