yep, those are the right ones. it shows a pic of the bulb at the bottom. that's the 800 series halogen that you want. you don't want the H3 bulbs.

Re: My New HID Projector Fogs

I know this is an old thread, so I apologize for the thread revival, but I'm interested in installing HID projector fogs into my 05, which obviously has a different front end.

Has anybody installed HID projector fogs into the OEM fog location on an 05?

it would be slightly easier than this because you wouldn't have to seperate and rotate the projectors 180 deg like you do for 01-03.

i'm guessing they did search and that's how they found this thread. maybe more replies would come from a new thread, but the question posted here is legit.

Re: My New HID Projector Fogs

I have an 01 Civic and was interested in putting these projector fogs in my car. Are there updated links to the pnp kit and fog projectors? Also are the ebay fog light kits good enough for the mounting of the projectors (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JDM-2001-2003-HONDA-CIVIC-2-4-DOOR-CLEAR-FOG-LIGHTS-KIT-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQfitsZYearQ3a2001Q7cModelQ3aCivi cQQhashZitem2562f77148QQitemZ160574173512QQptZMoto rsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories)

just a word of warning, those metal reflector housings are near impossible to drill if youre thinking of mounting the blazer inside. you need the strongest hole saw they make.

Well if thats the case, how would I mount the projectors onto the bumper without the use of the ebay fog light kit?

Re: My New HID Projector Fogs

well if you do not have any fog lights now, you can always install aftermarket lights directly to the bumper using the supplied bracket. just make sure its a top or bottom mount and not a side mount so you can screw it into the bumper grill trim.

exactly what gearbox said. the fogs i used had a bracket and a bolt that mounted them to the bumper. drill 1 hole and put the bolt through. pretty simple.

Re: My New HID Projector Fogs

Okay yeah sounds simple enough to do. Would these be the blazer projector fogs (http://www.theretrofitsource.com/product_info.php?products_id=249)?

OR
Would it be better to be the whole kit from them?

Re: My New HID Projector Fogs

Which ones are you referring to on ebay? Because I've looked through ebay and can't find the blazer projector fogs. All I'm finding are projector fogs which fit for a Blazer and I'm pretty sure those aren't it

Re: My New HID Projector Fogs

Awesome! Thanks alot 'electric130', I really appreciate your help. Now all I need to do is find a HID kit and I should be all set, but I guess those are much more easier to find than the fogs. One question: Did you end up wiring your fogs (when you had your civic) to the switch that's included in the projector set on ebay?

Re: My New HID Projector Fogs

hit me up on PM. i still have my old PNP kit, 2 brand new HID bulbs, and a brand new replacement ballast (when i thought a ballast died, but was just bad wiring) that i might sell all for less than ebay prices.

i used the switch, but i wired it to a relay. the relay signal was powered by the parking lights. that way, i didn't risk leaving the fogs on when i turned the car off (as i did many times in previous cars.) also, with the switch on, you turn your parking lights on, and the HID fogs come on automatically. looks awesome right around dawn/dusk times!

Re: My New HID Projector Fogs

Thanks for the offer on the PNP kit, but I'm looking for a 3000k kit and I believe you have the 4300k right? I wanted the yellow look and output for the fogs.

Is there a way to wire the fogs so that it comes on when the car turns on while also at the same time, you can turn it off and on at will?

yes, i have "4300k" but they look more like 6000k. you would wire the power to the relay coil to any of the accessory powered fuses, like the radio, and put the switch between the fuse and the relay. that way, if the switch is on, the relay and the lights will come on with the car, but you can turn them off.

Re: My New HID Projector Fogs

Can anyone tell me what the hell the point of an HID fog light is? The entire purpose of a fog light is supposed to be enhanced visibility in fog, and I can't see that happening with this kit. Selective-yellow bulbs are the only sensible thing I can think of.

What's next, HID Blinkers? HID Brake lights? HID License plate bulbs?

call it a fog light if you like, call it whatever you want. with a white bulb in it, it's a driving light to put additional light on the road for driving at night. doesn't have to be fog on the road to benefit from these lights. your narrow minded mentality really shows.....
