Phx: where did you have your springs installed?
I'm looking to buy and have sum lowering springs installed on my car in the next few weeks. Can you guys tell me a good place to have an install and alignment? And if it's in the far NE valley or Scottsdale, that would be even better.
Thanks
J
Thanks

All I got to say is DO NOT go to Apex. I went to the Apex here in Tucson (owned by Kwan also) and they screwed my car up. They tore my tie rod boots all to hell and said that they didn't do it. It took them 2-3 months before I got my car fixed by them. They are the reason why I got Energy Suspension bushings.
If you get a spring compressor, you could do the the installation yourself. It's not that hard. That would save you ~$100 right there. Then all you would have to do is get the alignment done. Weren't you thinking about getting the Neuspeed Sports? If so, I would recommend getting an alignment kit for at least the front. I noticed some decent wear on the insides of my front tires when I had them replaced. I bought an SPC (Specialty Products Co.) front camber kit for $20, but have been too lazy install it. Alignments cost about $50 anywhere you go, so just go to a reputable place, even like Sears Tire Center. I heard that some Sears have a lifetime alignment deal for $100.
Sorry for the long post, but I thought someone could learn from my experiences... Hope it helps...

Nick - thanks for the info. Yeah I was talking to a friend who could hook me up with a spring compressor so that was an idea. Definitely would save me sum cash. I was planning on getting a camber kit regardless, but people keep saying the rear doesn't even need it.
Gotrice - thanks for the offer. How low is the drop on Tech 5? I was thinkin Neuspeed Sports, but nothing's final. Could you get me the # to SRD. Thanks

first off SRD WILL RAPE YOU id underline it if i wasnt so lazy, they will charge you tooo much, listen go to Rtoyhouse motorsports, they had neuspeed sports for 160 and installation was cheap too, heres the number 604-9900, easy, ask to speak to scott, tell him eric with the silver 2001 civic sent you, he might knock off some bucks hehe, give him a call to see if you can get it there, its at 19th ave and indian school rd, right off the I-17, so check it

Just a warning about the Tech 5 springs. I bought them for my sedan and the *** end dropped too much...now I have a camber problem. Ive already gone thru a pair of Paradas because of it too. The wheels are tucking so much that I dont even know if a camber kit would work unless I raised the car a little. I went to APEX in Tempe and they told me that they hadnt had any problems with the springs settling too low. I installed them with some friends and the car looks good but the tires are wearing fast.
if you want to chat about ripping off i went to rtoyhouse to get my springs installed and they said 125 bucks but then i talked to joe down in srd then they said 85 dollars i guess its who you are to get a good deal plus when my friend went to ask scott about getting his top end rebuilt in his integra scott didnt really know what he was talking about all he wanted to do is get yo money out of you well whatever the world goes round and round my suggestion is to start knowing the right people then their you go or go into places and start chatting with them like buddies and you never know but like i said you know if you go to srd talk to joe he is the more pudgeir one but scott at rtoyhouse is pretty cool to but i would shop around if i were you just to tell you my oppinion
