Seattle Peeps!
Has anyone checked out the new issue of Import Tuner? Notice anyone familiar? Seattle local Mia Guzman is the featured model on the cover and has an interview in there and she gave a shout out to Seattle Imports!!!! Oh yeah! NW representin' in this *****!!!!
I want to get into snowboarding, but I don't know where to start. What kind of clothes/gear do I need to buy? And all the peeps I know are too f***'n lazy to go out snowboarding, or they're just plain broke. Do you know where I can get a hookup on gear?

If you haven't gone before man, I'd highly suggest you rent or borrow some friends gear. Just in case you don't like it ya know? Once you know for sure that you're down, talk to me. I can take you some places and get you all hooked up right! Let me know what's up man!
I'm riding a 2002 Lib Tech Jamie Lynn and a 2000 Lib Tech Emmagator. Been riding since 1989. Started out on a 1989 Sims ATV Blade 1610. The best riding I've done has ALWAYS been at Whistler/Blackcomb in B.C.

I'm going snowboarding with a guy from work a week after the 17th meet. He's a semi-beginner who's been up to the slopes a few times and got the hang of riding. I don't play sports and I used to skateboard when I was in high school so hopefully some of those skate skills carried over on powder. I need to snowboard becaues I need an excuse to get out of the house and do something athletic. I get a bonus from work in March and I was thinking.... A. New computer... or B. Snowboard equipment or C. Save it up... I'll PM you guys (Emmagterone & 3rd) when I'm good and ready to purchase my setup.

Sorry bro, I thought my skate skillz would help me back in the day......Guess what? It didn't! Sorry to say dude, but if you end up twisting your body while you are on the ground, (you snowriders know EXACTLY what I'm talking about!) you are going to be in a LOT of pain! Catching edges is not fun at all. Beginners are going to do it regardless until they get the basic concept of snowboarding. Once they get it, they understand as to why it's important NOT to twist your body while you are on the ground! Now if you are busting fatty 360's and ish then it's ok!! Good luck man!
