I need help finding out what starter i need for my b18a4 motor.

are you sure it's not a b16a4?

this is for the Si-r b16a4 civic manual (it will not fit a non-Si)
you can use the Honda parts number to find a cheaper brand as well

No its a b18a4 block swaped into a 86 honda crx. I was trying to find a part number or the type of starter so i didnt have to go in and take it out.

Has anyone here heard of a b18a4? the closest to that number I can only find is a b16a4 or a b18c4...

Am i missing an engine here...

OP on your engine does it say B18a4 stamped into the block?

Yes it says b18a4. I cant find it anywhere online. And the car was bought with that motor so i have no idea what it came from. Havent been able to find what it came from either.

I guess your are going to have to pull your starter and take it with you while you ask the parts desk to look at b18 starters.

Perhaps it's a long lost Honda prototype that wasn't meant for customer use... or a stolen race engine, like Initial D... =D.
