I just changed the engine in a 1994 civic with a vtech engine. The new engine had 55000 miles so we changed the water pump, timing belt, tentioner, and clutch before installing it. The motor is in and runs great till the abs pump turns on. When the abs pump turns on the engine dies. We didn't work on the brake system and the brakes were working properly before the engine swap. Any suggestions as to what may be going on?

Are you sure you got all the connectors in the right place? I know you said you didnt work on the abs system, but to me it sounds as though something is plugged up backwards. Also does the computer match the engine?
