84-87 Instrument Cluster Interchange

Folks, in my teens 30 years ago I had a 1985 Civic DX hatch. I upgraded the instrument cluster to one with a tach. It was plug & play for sure. I cannot for the life of me remember what it came out of only that Im pretty sure it was not an SI.

Im looking to upgrade a 1986 Civic 2 door hatch DX to a tach cluster.

Can anyone tell me what fits/interchanges and would be correct? For example: Im pretty sure the CRX does not work (without modification to something) but does the tach cluster from a 4 door sedan fit the 2 door hatch? If memory serves me right, the SI has orange numbers or something like that that is not correct for a regular Civic.
Any help outlining the differences and interchange is greatly appreciated.
Justin

I know for the 6th gens you just had to move up a trim level to get a tach. I would guess that its the same for yours.
