when replace rear wheel bearings?
5th gen cx has 146K. When shall I replace rear wheel bearings? No strange noises yet.

Raise the rear and do a 6/12 and 3/9 (clock/hand position test) on the the tire/wheel.

After test above the next test is to (back still raised) spin each tire manually using an auto stethoscope ($4 Harbor Freight) or long screw driver with the tip to the stationary hub area and the handle end to your ear. This will amplify noise, listen for grinding/low level whining.

If tests pass follow Collin's advice.

most wheel bearings can be used for more than 100,000 kilometers, and some cars have run hundreds of thousands of kilometers.
