Hey gang!

Well, now that I have my Civic running (thanks for all the help) I have another problem that's been bothering me for many years. The gas pedal is harder to press down on than any other car I've ever driven and I am looking for advice on how to correct that, if possible. I mean, it works and there is no sticking on anything, but it's not normal to me and it gets old having that much resistance on the pedal all the time. My foot will actually get tired if I drive it for more than 20 minutes.

I already cleaned the throttle body assembly and it wasn't too dirty. The butterfly piece looks good and it doesn't stick to the throttle body area from what I can tell. When I press on the throttle body spring with my fingers this is where I'm not sure what "normal" feels like. Sure, it feels stiff, but how much is too much? "That's what she said" I plan to check some of our others vehicles to see how much force it takes to press on the spring area. In the meantime, is there anything else you can think of to investigate? Has anyone experienced a gas pedal that was difficult to press down on any vehicle?

the activation cable. check for kinks or anything that would squeeze the cable inside

Cable or the butterfly shaft is sticking
