Acceleration/gas Pedal adjustement
Acceleration/gas Pedal adjustement
Hi,
It is about Honda civic 2002 Deluxe 4 doors automatic.
actually i feel the Acceleration/gas Pedal is hard. is there a way to make it little loose or adjust?
I saw his pics on Google and it seem to be a very simple pedal. i dont see any thing other than a little spring and one hole for throttle cable.
i am new learner on how car work. so i prefer to ask before to avoid any dammage.
thanks

Re: Acceleration/gas Pedal adjustement
Better compare your pedal feel to another car first, make sure yours really is significantly different from one that has no complaints.
Then isolate and inspect the 3 main items involved:
The pedal itself is a stupid simple lever, hard to think it would mess up.
The throttle body, you should be able to work that by hand to make sure it isn't unusually tight.
The throttle blade can sometimes "stick" in the throttle bore in its closed position, and that makes it feel like you have to POP the pedal before it starts moving, but the rest of its travel range would be smooth.
IMO the cable itself is the usual cause of rough or notchy pedal feel throughout its entire range of travel.
